Enkele maanden geleden werd de 21-jarige kapper Skelte Willems verkozen tot Mister Gay Vlaanderen 2015. Maar tussen 19 en 23 april 2016 krijgt hij de kans om ook te strijden voor de titel van Mr. Gay World. De wereld-verkiezing zal dit jaar doorgaan in het zonovergoten Malta.

Malta heeft de voorbije maanden ook veel vooruitgang gemaakt voor holebi’s. Zo kunnen holebi-koppels er nu trouwen en moet je geen medische ingreep meer laten uitvoeren als je op identiteitsdocumenten van geslacht wil veranderen.

WIE WORDT MISTER GAY VLAANDEREN 2016?

Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte geven de MGV organisatoren het startschot van de ‘Zoektocht start vandaag’-campagne op de Antwerp Pride en openen ze opnieuw de inschrijvingen. Want vanaf eind januari 2016 zullen er weer 12 finalisten strijden voor de titel van Mister Gay Vlaanderen.

Net zoals de voorbije 3 jaar gaat de organisatie op zoek naar de perfecte verpersoonlijking van een mooie, mondige en stijlvolle Mister.

Bram Bierkens en zijn partner Ivan Denis geloven dat de Mister Gay Vlaanderen verkiezing, door net iets anders te zijn, een belangrijk en verantwoord verschil kan maken voor en binnen een wereld waar er op vlak van LGBT-rechten nog veel werk aan de winkel is.

Daarnaast is de verkiezing voor elke deelnemer een leerrijke ervaring die er positief en integer op is gericht een woordvoerder, ambassadeur van en voor de holebi en transgender gemeenschap te vinden, en waarbij zij tijdens hun campagneperiode professioneel zullen worden begeleid door diverse coaches.

Wie Skelte Willems zal opvolgen daarop moeten we nog even wachten, maar jezelf kandidaat stellen dat kan dus al wel!

In 2010 he played Tobias in Joel Smaucher’s film “Twelve“. He co-stars in that movie with Emma Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, 50 cent and Ellen Barkin. He has two movies coming up now called “Hunter & Game” and “Mama Dallas”.

Rugby League player Keegan Hirst is the first British professional in the code to openly say he is gay after being married and having two kids, but he gets naked too!!! ;o)

Respected Rugby Player Keegan, reveals the secret torment of dealing with his sexuality while carving out a career in one of the world’s most macho sports. Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Mirror, the dad of two tells of the moment he finally found the words to explain to his wife the reason they could no longer be together. And he talks emotionally of the support he got, not only from her, but also from his rugby team-mates. The 6ft 4in captain of West ­Yorkshire side Batley Bulldogs said: “At first I couldn’t even say ‘I’m gay’ in my head, let alone out loud. Now I feel like I’m letting out a long breath that I’ve held in for a long time.”

Speaking for the first time about coming to terms with being gay, Keegan adds: “I had a wife and kids. I’ve been a builder, doorman, worked in factories I play rugby. I tick every macho box. How could I be gay? I’m from Batley for goodness sake. No one is gay in Batley.” And he reveals: “The only time I felt free of the torment was when I stepped on the rugby pitch. Now I feel free.”

Keegan hopes his decision to be open will help others in the sport who might be fighting with their emotions. The Yorkshireman, who started his career at Bradford Bulls Academy, said he knew he had to be honest with his wife after he realized she blamed herself for their marriage break-up. Days after Keegan Hirst became the first British rugby league player to come out, he reveals for us a naked photo for charity with his teammate Joe Chandler. The Batley Bulldogs captain stripped off to raise money for this year’s naked calendar. Wouldn’t you love to be that Rugby Ball and doesn’t it make this sexy macho even more adorable now?! ;o)

CONGRATULATIONS to Keegan for being so strong for coming out in this macho sports profession. Although he says he has never been out as “a gay guy on the pull” and that he doesn’t “know yet how these things work”, I think he will have no trouble getting into the swing of it.

Several months ago, the 21-year-old Barber Skelte Willems elected Mister Gay Flanders 2015. But between 19 and 23 April 2016 he will get the chance to compete for the title of Mr. Gay World. The world-election will this year take place in the sun-drenched Malta.

Malta has also made much progress in recent months for LGBT people. LGBT couples can marry there now and you should have no medical intervention carried out anymore, if you want to change your gender on identity documents.

WHO WILL BE MISTER GAY FLANDERS 2015?

Like the last three years MGV organizers has given the starting shot of the ‘ Search Today’- campaign on the Antwerp Pride and they have given the chance again to sign in for the competition. Because from the end of January 2016 there will be again 12 finalists competing for the title of Mister Gay Flanders.

Over the past 3 years the organization will be looking again for the perfect personification of a beautiful, articulate and stylish Mister.

Bram Bierkens and his partner Ivan Denis believe that the Mister Gay Flanders election, by just being a bit different, can make an important and responsible difference for and inside a world, where there are in the areas of LGBT rights is still a lot of work to be done.

In addition, the election for each participant will be a learning experience out there focused on finding a positive and integer spokesman, Ambassador of and for the LGBT community. They will be supervised periodically during their campaign by various professional coaches.

For who will follow Skelte Willems in his footsteps in 2016, we have to wait a little longer, but introducing yourself and becoming a candidate is already possible!!!

OMG, I did this great interview with Red Hot Ginger Seth Fornea a few months ago and finally I found it back after a virus hacked my computer and screwed it all up. And not in the way we like to get screwed!!! I don’t know about you guys, but I am loving these shots of the seriously sexy Seth that is floating around the internet. You may recognize this gorgeous ginger as a model for Colt Studios and the Red Hot Calendar. He’s got a red hot bod, sexy face and he’s not shy when it comes to showing off his body. Seth was gladly to oblige when I asked him for an interview and he gave me besides great honest answers also some sexy pics to share with you all for my blog.

Hi Seth, thank you first for giving me the chance to interview you for my blog Pink In Our Lives. Even though you made ginger a HOT color again, maybe you can still introduce yourself a bit more to my readers?
“Well I was born and matured in Louisiana, USA. My hometown was really small, Angie Louisiana, population 240. I lived on a horse farm with both my biological parents and my 3 siblings, two sisters and one brother. It was a really fun childhood full of horse riding, fishing, farming, riding 4 wheelers, anything you could imagine from a really rural upbringing. Basically we ate grass fed beef before it was cool and thought nothing of it lol. I went to college in north Louisiana and got a B.S in chemistry. I was also a collegiate rower there! 4 years of learning an athletics and so much fun! After undergrad I went to graduate school at Clemson University and got a masters in chemistry (graduate school was not so much fun rather a lot of work)”

You are one of the winners of the WE PARTY contest Gods of Olympus 2014 next to Fabio Di Domizio and Fran Suarez and you got to go dancing at New Year’s Eve in Madrid. How was this party for you and how did you became one of the contestants?
“Yes I was fortunate enough to win a spot dancing in Madrid for the WE Party New Year’s Festival. I initially filled out a short application online and then was selected as one of the 10 semifinalist. From there and through the support of friends and fans I was able to make the top three and go on the trip! I dance 5 parties over 6 days…it was the experience of a lifetime! The costumes each night were so on point and fantastic! The music and the energy of each night was at times surreal! I highly recommend the WE Party events”. :)

You are a very hunky hairy redhead. Were you always like that when you were younger or were you the kid that got bullied of your red hair?
“I was a really shy, awkward, and not socialized young redhead until about the age of 18. I had super low self-esteem, not a lot of friends, and lived 33 miles from my school. It was very isolated. I turned to my studies and my hobbies to occupy my time and didn’t really develop a lot of social skills till I went to college. I was I would say pudgy lol. I started working out in college when I tried out for the rowing team there”.

You do a lot of modelling and one of the projects you worked on was the Red Hot Project. How was that and why did you decide to work on that project?
“I met Thomas Knights through social media about 3 years ago. Before he really even got the ball rolling on Red Hot. By that time I had been on the scene for a bit and was easily recognizable among red head enthusiast. Thomas and I planned our shoot on one of his trips to NYC. The shoot took maybe 1 hour…we had a blast…Thomas had a delightful personality. I was very proud of the work and the impact of his overall project. It’s a great collection of red headed men!”

You have a cute boyfriend Jared Bradford and you look so great together. How long are you together and how did you two meet? Was it love at first sight?

What do you look for in a partner and would you love to get married someday since it’s possible in NYC?
“I look for someone who is honest, in touch with their hormones, not in self-denial, intelligent and applied intelligence, fair, and a sense of adventure. Jared and I don’t have plans to get married. Simply because marriage does not represent what we are. Nothing is constant….vows seem to me like ultimatums that don’t allow a couple to evolve and grow. We favor honesty and freedom over something restrictive. I short we both want a limitless life experience”.

You definitely enjoy dancing when you catch you perform at parties and clubs. What makes you different from any other go-go dancer and what makes for you the perfect night?
“Physically it would only be my hair color. I am one of few redheads in an ocean of dancing brunettes. However lots of dancers are in much better shape…I need to work on that lol…but geez I love French fries! Personality wise I think my most distinguishing factor is my interaction with people when I am not on stage dancing. I always make time to go out in the crowd, chat with people, take pictures, and interact with patrons that keep cheering for me in my little dancing journey I am on. I think it’s very imports at go meet the people that have the collective voice to keep me on the scene. I think a lot of dancers neglect to do that or remain in their own cliché without branching out a little and saying hi to a stranger who really wants to talk with them. You would be really surprised at the attitudes I encounter backstage sometimes….divas of their own little world. The perfect night for me is wearable and comfy costumes, totally dope music, and surrounded by friends at the party!”

You are a very busy guy who models, go-go dances at bars and host in clubs. What do you do in your spare time?
“In my spare time I go to the gyms LOT! I blog, watch my vampire shows (originals and vampire diaries), visit with friends, explore NYC, photography collaborations, I cook, play with my boyfriend and our cute little doggy. I live a very happy life”.

You did a photo shoot with Colt studios for the first time in May 2013 and that didn’t leave much for the imagination (Thank God LOL). Many fans like myself want to know is there a follow up? Also can we expect something more than just a solo shoot? (Will there be a sex-scene in the future? Please give my readers the scoop? ;-)
“I did do a follow up to the May 2013 shoot in December of 2013. Those are the fully nude images that you see in the 2015 calendar. There will be other COLT shoots in the future I hope…they are wonderful to work with. As far as a sex scene…..that really depends on how ballsy I feel at the moment and how much I want to push the envelope of public acceptance on the average. There is so much I want to do in the mainstream I have to be careful and walk a thin slightly dabbling in the world of porn”.

You also have a calendar out for 2015 with Colt Studios. What is your favorite month on the calendar, why and how was the photo shoot? Where can my readers order this sexy treat for themselves?                                                                                                            “My favorite images didn’t make it in the calendar. But If I were to pick a month it would be April. The shoot itself was done in Sonoma CA in December of 2013. It was cold and so hard to maintain a boner when I felt purple lol. But alas it was 3 days of fun, posing, joking around, and getting to know the great men behind COLT! I shall remember it fondly always :). I am very proud to join the legacy of COLT men and have my own calendar”.

You have been going on a big tour with Bradley through Europe and the USA. What part of that trip and city did you enjoy the most?
“Jared actually worked in LA for New Years and I went to Madrid solo. My fav part of that trip were the new friends I made! I got close to some amazing guys and I really hope to meet and work with them again. WE Party definitely treats you like family when you work for them! It was wonderful”.

I think you have never visited Antwerp in Belgium, while u were very close being in Amsterdam as well. ;o) We love to welcome you guys here sometime. What country or city would you love to visit in the future and what is your favorite holiday destination?
“I really want to go to São Paulo or Rio in Brazil. My hormones have a special eye for Brazilians and I can’t think of a better place to vacation”. :))

Can you share a secret for us that most people not knew about you?
“A secret. I secretly bite my tongue and hold back my dislike of how non punctual the people of my generation are. Biggest pet peeve”.

If you can decide the location, the photographer and the model you have to be paired with for a sexy naked shoot, what would your choices be and why?
“I would rather it be a surprise….but nothing below 80 degrees Fahrenheit”.

What better Festival than Pink Lake can be mentioned on Pink In Our Lives!!!

The eighth annual Pink Lake LGBT Festival, on beautiful Lake Wörthersee, Southern Austria has started again today till the 6th of September. Pink Lake is a four-day festival for the international LGBT community and their friends, and each year it gets larger and larger. In fact, last year, over 4500 overnight stays were booked as a result of Pink Lake, with 800 to 1200 people attending each nightly event. The program provides a colorful mixture of events involving entertainment, partying, relaxation and sports.

Pink Lake is a must for the LGBT community, because it has a lot to offer. Lake Wörthersee is located in the southernmost area of Austria, by the borders of Italy and Slovenia. It feels you are in the movie “Sound of Music” at the foot of the Alps. The region offers historic grand villas and a lovely lake promenade. The place Velden offers modern wellness hotels, trendy bars, cozy restaurants, relaxing cafes and a wide variety of boutiques and stores, welcoming the LGBTI community with open arms.

The ever-popular Pink Lake allows the LGBTI community to end the summer with a big splash. The entire festival takes place directly on Lake Wörthersee. The Lake isn’t only beautiful, but also one of the warmest lakes in Europe and has been up to 28 degrees Celsius during Pink Lake. It’s perfect for swimming, boating, water skiing, sailing, parasailing, banana boat rides….or just sitting with a nice bottle of wine and enjoying the incredible view.

For parties there are different kind of events to participate in. At the rowdy Austrian themed Almdudler Trachtenparty you have to get your Lederhosen on. This party will take place on the refurbished Gemonaplatz in the center of the chic and beautiful town of Velden. Love conquers all they say, and for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, it also helps to win awards. Their great LGBT “Love is Love campaign” from the beginning of this year got awarded. #CONGRATULATIONS

Fort Lauderdale’s tourism bureau won 7 Flagler awards for its successful ‘Love Is Love‘ gay marriage marketing campaign. The project won The Henry (gold) award in the Creativity in Public Relations category at the annual Flagler Awards, as well as an award in the Mixed Media Campaign and ‘Best in Show’. It also received a bronze award for Special Event for its “The Beach Looks Good on You” event in Washington DC and several others.

Greater Fort Lauderdale celebrated marriage equality in Florida by hosting a historic wedding with Pride. 100 couples were invited to say “I Do” during a Fort Lauderdale beach ceremony on Thursday, February 5, 2015.

This “Love is Love initiative” included a mass wedding celebration with 100 same-sex and straight couples exchanging or renewing their vows in Fort Lauderdale following an international advertising campaign promoting the destination for LGBT celebrations, following the legalization of gay marriage in the state of Florida on 6 January 2015.

Pop star Lance Bass, former NSYNC member and Dancing with the Stars alum was the official ambassador of the celebration, which he attended with husband Michael Turchin. They got married themselves at the 20th of December 2014 and Lance shares the same pioneering spirit of advocating for LGBT equality that they embody in Greater Fort Lauderdale. Lance was thrilled to be a part of their historic moment on the same day he shared his own personal wedding with the world broadcasted. They celebrated this day with couples from across the nation and from as far away as London, Italy and South America.

There will be feathers, sequins, lights and glamour and lots of laughs along the way. The winning couple will be crowned “MADE On The Dancefloor Champion 2015” and receive a specially made trophy plus a weekend in London at a top hotel with £500 spending money to enjoy the January sales.

They are going to be the first TV show to allow same sex ballroom dancers to compete on British TV, because Strictly Come Dancing doesn’t allow same-sex couples…yet. They say: “Strictly Come Dancing is a family show the traditional format of mixed-sex couples. At the moment we have no plans to introduce same-sex couples in the competition.” Former contestant Louis Smith says same-sex dance couples should be allowed on the show. “I don’t see nothing wrong with that. Ballroom dancing has rules – like you can’t do lifts in the waltz unless it’s an American Smooth, and things like that, and you get penalized. And I don’t know what the rules are in the ballroom world about that sort of thing. But if it’s allowed, why not? Mix it up a little bit!”

Lots of people disagree with Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC and they would like to see everybody dance in which form as a couple they prefer. That’s why this show has brought to life and will start in October 2015 with a grand finale on Monday the 23rd of November. This year the gay community website Gay.nl organizes for the 7th time the Mister Gay Netherlands election. They are searching for a new role model for young Dutch Gays!!! This Friday will take the Finale Show in Amsterdam in Club Panama place, where the candidates fight for the number one spot! The last election was in 2012 but they are back!!!

From hundreds of gay boys and men who entered the competition eleven candidates were chosen from everywhere in Holland. The winner gets to call himself for one year Mister Gay Netherlands and wins amongst others a cover shoot for Gay & Night Magazine and exposure on the website Gay.nl

The winner will get chosen by public voting, which was made through the website of Gay.nl the last couple of weeks where you could vote for your favorite guy, and by the judges who are present on the Finale Show on the 25th of September 2015.

Although the Dutch Gay community achieved many legal rights like everybody the last years, the acceptance on the street has unfortunately taken a step backwards. No matter the background of heritage, young gays have the right to be out there. Like in the competition in Belgium of Mister Gay Flanders looks are nice, but the guys have to have their own story. It is great to be a feast for our eyes, but they have to be a role model too for the gay society and show that also in our community there are different kind of types and beliefs. Between these finalists are guys who are sero-positive, men who want to have their own child, to be accepted in sports or in their own non-western culture.

Bob Harper, who has been a trainer on the show since 2004, will be stepping up to replace Days Of Our Lives actress Alison Sweeney. Bob, who came out in an episode of the show in 2013, has promised some changes.

Harper said: “I’m super excited about taking the position of host on The Biggest Loser. I’ve been with the show since Season 1, so I know all of the ins and outs, and let me tell you, the weigh-in room is going to be a completely different ballgame with me at the steering wheel.”

“I don’t want this season to be about just their workout experience,” says Harper. “I want it to be much more internal. We’re gonna make this season raw, it’s gonna be like an intervention …. we’re gonna go deep.” His advice for contestants? “Be prepared to get uncomfortable — in every way. They already know they’re going to be uncomfortable physically — that’s a given. But I want them to get out of their comfort zones when it comes to their thinking, too. I think it’s the hardest part.”

Harper will push contestants to dig deep into their emotional issues as they work with trainers Dolvett Quince and Jennifer Widenstrom, nutritionist Cheryl Forberg, R.D., and medical experts Robert Huizenga, M.D., and Michael Dansinger, M.D.

Robert “Bob” Harper was born on the 18th of August in 1965 and is an American personal trainer and

author. Harper has worked as a personal trainer for celebrity clients, including Jennifer Jason Leigh. In 1999, he was cast as an extra in Melissa Etheridge’s hit video for the song “Angels Would Fall” from her album Breakdown. He has been from the first season of the weight losing show “The Biggest Loser” as a personal trainer, but also in three versions of the Australian series. And now he has been the host of the show himself.

In addition to his appearances, speaking dates, and writing duties, Harper still teaches regular classes in Los Angeles and works as a yoga instructor. In early 2010, Harper launched mytrainerbob.com, a website where subscribers can discuss weight loss and receive coaching. Check out also his DVD “Bob Harper: Inside Out Method”. Harper publicly came out as gay in the seventh episode of the fifteenth season of The Biggest Loser, while talking to a contestant who was having difficulty telling his parents about his sexuality. Gay lifestyle OutTv reporter Jens Geerts got a magical shock when he got surprised this week in Dutch Theme Parc “De Efteling”.

The Efteling in Kaatsheuvel Holland is one of Europe’s Best theme parc like Eurodisney and has besides many thrill attractions also a magical fairytale Forest. Jens was there about the new Attraction roller coaster “Baron 1898” for OutTv, although he didn’t understand what this attraction had to do with anything gay. But they assured him that such a fancy and trendy rollercoaster is definitely something for the LGBT community.

Unexpected Jens does his thing and remembered out loud that his last time here was with his boyfriend Radio Joe FM presenter Robin Vissenaekens. They have been a couple for eight years now. The crew tells Jens that the Efteling wants a role play to show the atmosphere of the Fairytale Forest. Jens still has no clue.

Jens has to read a letter on a bench in the forest and after some rehearsals they gonna tape the whole scene. In the meanwhile his boyfriend Robin has come closer and hid himself behind Cinderella. But then suddenly out of the blue and unrehearsed Jens got a second letter to read out loud and when he reads strangely looking: “The heart a dazzling thief wants to steal is my heart. And he is…..right behind me…..”

Jens frooze completely and Robin comes behind the dress of Cinderella and drops on one knee. After a few sweet words, he takes a ring and asks the magical words: “will you marry me?”

America’s Next Top Model hunk Nyle DiMarco made history as the FIRST deaf contestant in the show’s 22 cycles, and now he’s made ANTM history again by coming out as sexually “fluid”!!!

Nyle was born in Queens, New York City, USA. He has 2 brothers, one is his twin, who looks nothing like him. He is the 4th generation in a deaf family. He moved to Maryland where he attended and graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf. He graduated later on from Gallaudet University, which is the only university for deaf people in the world. After learning and absorbing on how to model and to really strike photos, Nyle discovered his natural talent and his love for modeling. Nyle is an actor. He has acted as a main role for an independent film In the Can under ASL Films production. He is also acting for “Switched at Birth” under ABC Family as Garrett. He will continue acting.

Nyle DiMarco is Deaf. He strongly believes that being Deaf is a huge advantage to his talents because of his native language, American Sign Language (ASL). American Sign Language requires the use of facial expressions and body language expressions. With the rules of ASL immersed into his soul, it helps to bring out stories from a modeling photo, and makes for an interesting character when acting. He reads lips well and is extremely easy to work with.

When a fan of the show and one of his more than 33,000 Twitter followers tweeted: “Nyle you have so much gays fans! Tell us, boys or girls?” Nyle replied “fluid,” along with a link to an Everyday Feminism article entitled, “How Fluid Sexuality Fits into the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum.” When it comes to matters of the heart, his preferences are in a state of shift.

What is sexually fluid: ‘Fluid has no fixed shape, but it still has a fixed volume and consistency. So it may be with fluid sexuality—just because a person may prefer men right now doesn’t mean that will hold true for the rest of their life or even the rest of the week. It may also be the case that some people are just wired to be more fluid and others are wired to have a more fixed sexual orientation. In either case, the person didn’t make a conscious decision about how they’d grow to express their sexuality.’

Chris Burns, the assistant men’s basketball coach at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., has come out as gay, and is the nation’s first Division 1 coach that came out.

Chris wrote:
“That day, when the Supreme Court released its decision, was when I knew beyond anything else: This is all bigger than myself. There is no greater feeling than being a part of something bigger than just you. That’s what has always made sports so special for me. Since then I started telling people in college basketball over the last few months and I’ve realized my fears were far worse than reality. I’ve realized that people, for the most part, are human beings first. For a guy who’s relatively cynical and can be negative, the reactions of people in my sport and in my life have shut me right up and reenergized my hope in the human spirit, in empathy….Like the people before me, I hope my story empowers someone, even if it’s just one person. But it’s a process for everyone. My advice: Take your time and be comfortable. Everyone’s personal journey is special and unique, and no one should feel pressure to do anything they aren’t comfortable with. But always know this: When the time comes to share your true self, you will feel so much love and relief and hope and freedom. It’s a truly special feeling, and I just can’t thank enough every single person who has helped guide and support me to this point”.

Senior forward Curtis Oakley told USA Today Sports, “There was an initial shock factor, but everyone was like ‘Yo, Burns, we rockin’ with you. It was all love.”

Duke coach Mike Krzyzeweski said, “One act of courage produces another. When I think of this, I think of tossing a big stone into a lake or a pond. The ripples he’s creating are huge. To me, it’s a huge step in the right direction for our sport because it can allow others who don’t feel like they can be who they are to do the same.”

The winner of Lifestyle LGBT Channel OUTtv Media Award 2015 is Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, which is rewarded annually by OUTtv viewers and fans.

The Prime Minster has been voted by the LGBT community in the Flanders part of Belgium to be the media personality of 2015. Through an online poll 1238 viewers and fans have voted for the person who according to them brought the LGBT themes in the most positive way under the attention of the Belgian Media.

Mister Michel was very honored to receive the Award: “This prize is a huge boost and thumbs up for the complete government. The respect for Gay right is luckily very big in Belgium. I am happy to live in a country that provides equal rights for everybody without distinction. Unfortunately that isn’t the case everywhere”.

Last week in New York at the General Assembly of the United Nations the Prime Minster also spoke about the rights of the LGBT community. During his speech he emphasizes that there have to be respect for rights for the LGBT community everywhere. “Nowhere in the world, must be homosexuality considered to be a crime. We will fight for this case always persistent and consistent”.

These words were received with the community and the viewers of OUTtv with gratitude. These days homosexuality is still criminal in more than 70 countries. In some countries you can get the death penalty for being gay.

According to Ceo of OUTtv Marc Putman the Prime Minister got a well-deserved majority of the voting. Other contenders were hunky Eurovision Songcontest winner Mäns Zelmerlöw, handsome documentary maker Michiel Thomas and great actor Jef Hoogmartens. Zelmerlöw apologies publicly at OUTtv for his homophobic saying in the past. Thomas made a documentary about athletes that came out of the closet and in the Flemish soap opera “Thuis” Jef Hoogmartens portrayed transgender Franky. BUT….Minister Charles Michel’s name came up more and showed his support by being a judge with the Mister Gay Flanders competition this year. He presented the winner Skelte Willems his title last May.

Congratulations to Prime Minister Charles Michel also from Pink In Our Lives and we are just happy that so many people from different kinds of professions and sexuality support the LGBT community. Let us all get together and provide a better world where everybody can be themselves.
